How to export data from DocSend

Moving off DocSend? Here is how to export your documents and set them up in an Octopus data room, with page-level analytics, watermarking, and access control on a flat rate.

  1. 1
    Export your files from DocSend

In DocSend, download each document from its file or space (DocSend keeps your original uploads). There is no bulk deal-room export, so pull the originals you shared.

  2. 2
Create your Octopus account and a data room

Sign up, then create a room and (optionally) folders to organize the document set for each party.

  3. 3
    Upload the documents

Drag in your PDFs and Office files. Office files convert to PDF automatically, and HTML is supported, so the set is ready to share.

  4. 4
    Set access and protection

Require a verified email, add an NDA, turn on dynamic watermarking, set an expiry, and decide who can download.

  5. 5
Share the tracked link and watch engagement

Send each party its own link, then see who opened what, which pages they read, and who came back.
